MMOGDP is not the very first game

MMOGDP is not the very first game in Maple story M Mesos the series to have an RPG leveling platform -- Origins had a similar setup last year -- but it's incredibly significant in MMOGDP. How significant? If you don't actively seek out ways to earn experience points, you are going to fall far behind and have an extremely hard, if not impossible, time completing the story. Thus, in the spirit of assisting you through the grind, we have put together a leveling guide which should hopefully eliminate some of your difficult times in Ancient Greece.
If you open your map, you'll notice that every land mass includes a level recommendation. The lowest level places, where you start, are below ten, while a couple of areas go up to the mid-40s as well as 50. Keep in mind that although the loot is much better in tougher areas, you are unlikely to endure for long if you go exploring while severely under-leveled. Including sailing your boat near high-level areas, as enemy ships will mirror the level of enemies ashore.
In our MMOGDP review we emphasized that you won't have the ability to sustain development from only completing story missions, particularly if you get deeper into the game. On multiple occasions, there are four-plus degree jumps between story assignments. This means that you won't be able to snap through MMOGDP. We advocate keeping up with the essential level of the missions if not one or two higher. Keep in mind that some mainline assignments see a gain in level if you pass the first number. That's OK, however, since this doesn't affect future assignment recommended amounts.
If you're looking for a way to accelerate while still undergoing some rather intriguing content, dedicated side quests are a good option. Side quests are marked on the map together with exclamation points. All of them have a story component to them and some of them even lead to unlocking new mainline assignments (weird, right?) Or other side quests. Many of these side mmogdp quests unlock as you complete story missions in precisely the exact same area. Most of all, side quests dole out as much and sometimes more experience than story missions. Essentially, completing side quests is equally as vital as narrative quests during the grind.
