Authentic & Tested. Tubes we sell are ALL tested unless otherwise stated! All tubes are cleaned and well-taken care. Look at the photos for the highly crystal-clear glass and clean pins despite being over half a century old!
*** Please do not trust any tube seller without posting any test information on the tubes, especially vintage ones. Always check and/or request the testing or supplier information of the tubes when buying. Without test information of the tubes, you can never tell how much of the life time of the tubes is left and its condition. How to trust when tube sellers just said 'tested strong', 'works like new' such frivolous comments to certify conditions of the tubes? Worse, some tubes listed did not even come with such comments. Or it could just be a meaningless % percentile reading without context. Although the readings do not absolutely dictate and gaurantee the tubes, it is at least imperative to supply these data for a better peace of mind regardless. ***

These 6SL7s are tested by plate current instead of the usual transconductance because the input values are beyond my tester could handle. Values are obtained from characteristic plot of their graphs of the tubes data.
Typical plate current reading for the test is 0.5mA for new tubes. Typical gain values should be around 70mu for new tubes.

For vintage tubes, American tubes offer fantastic performance value for money. The quality these tubes possess is unrivalled compared to today's reissues without costing such a premium like vintage European counterparts.
Tung Sol made these for the military and they are very tough for the job despite looking delicate in brown. But the brown base also made these tubes extremely rare and much sought after as well. Sounds very close to the wonderful Sylvania brown base in terms of tonality and musicality at a slight expense of sweetness to the Sylvanias.
These are one of the top 3 as close as the best American 6SL7GTs one could get. Physical conditions are excellent. If not for the OK readings, these tubes would not be costing at this price.
But despite the reading, you will definitely still be getting hundreds to over thousands of hours left from this pair.
It is truly a GREAT BARGAIN!

Note: unless specifically mentioned, we do not label our out-of-production tubes as NOS (New Old Stocks), a term so commonly branded in many tubes seller. There can almost never be any guarantee these out-of-production tubes are NOS; they were mostly made in the middle of 20th century!! Who tells the tale that they are still new?? No doubt there will still be, but the changes of hands of all these stocks made this verification too difficult. To us, tubes can test excellent or test like new, but we call them all vintage tubes.
