A thick-gauge speaker cable has been a favorite for many. Capable to be used on amplifiers power rated up to 2750 watts, Gotham 2 x 4.0mm² speaker cable has an effective 12 AWG in gauge size. And yet despite its thickness, it is incredibly flexible. Such cables will be useful for various placements where cable management can be kept neat and tidy.
A simple and straightforward construction, there will be no twisted braid or combination braid. Under each hood of the 12 AWG conductor are 224 strands of bare and high purity OFC. Terminated with authentic CMC banana plugs, the cables are effective and clean, which is similarly transmitted to the sound it carries. With apparent forward midrange, vocals will sound exceptionally crisp with weight. Timbre has air of realism to it, giving the highs adequate sparkles without being harsh. Give it at least 30 hours of burn-in, the sound will gradually open up, providing a balance tonality and smoothness.
