It’s really no secret that adidas superstar black and white stock — both literally and figuratively — has risen substantially over the past couple of years. Following the first release of its brand new silhouette, the ZX FLUX ADV X, just two weeks ago, adidas Originals has returned to serve up a second iteration – this time in premium suede. Especially the upper construction and lacing remind of the popular sneaker by the rapper. For Fall 2016 the sneaker now returns in dark olive entirely tonal colorway, with only the laces standing in contrast to the rest of the sneaker. The off-white adidas superstar mens ADV sport a striking, layered textile-and-nubuck upper — not seen one of those in a while — and the black Gazelle is dressed in a shaggy, hairy suede. A woven textile material dominates the upper while white detailing has been added on the heel cage and sole unit, and black has been placed on the three stripes branding, laces, and inner liner.
The superstars adidas was an interesting take on the previous ZX Flux, adding a diagonal lacing system to the sneaker. The new “X” version of the sneaker now translates the popular lacing system from the YEEZY Boost 350 onto the sneaker, giving it an overall much cleaner and sophisticated look. While the heel counter and breathable mesh exterior of the original trainer remain, the newbies showcase updated silhouettes, and some; while the former boasts floating TPU 3-stripes and an EVA midsole, the latter nods to its namesake, with the addition of a sleek new aesthetic. fter getting doused with the beverage, the ZX Flux almost looks like a custom, pretty pink pair, but thanks to the brand’s Cure-Ultimate cleaning kit, the “Triple White” take is as good as new following a thorough cleaning.
