Up for sale a pair of Clair standmount speakers
Beautifully finished in golden brown real wood veneer and is in excellent like-new condition
Its good looks reminds me of a Dynaudio just as its fantastic finish too. And the sound too that can give it a run but at a cost that's only a fraction! In sum, a great cost to performance & quality speaker with a wonderful sound.
The sound it reproduces is coherent from the very highs to lows, the details are crystal-clear, the positioning is pinpoint, especially when the cover is off, it's almost monitor-like. For myself, I'd prefer to listen with the covers on, where it's more like the wall of sound without sacrificing too much of the above qualities with depth & spatial qualities still preserved.
The degree of details & focus can adjusted to one's preference by the degree of toe-in and with the covers on or off. When they're pointed directly at the listener, especially with the covers off, the music reproduced seems to enter directly into the head, much like wearing headphones with a depth of sound that borders eerie... there can be too much of a good thing!
The frequency range is quite evenly spread in that it doesn't favour any particular range; the highs are smooth & silky, the mids are lush & rich, and the bass is full & present, I never felt it lacked bass at all for a standmount; all this while without overemphasis or under-representation of any frequencies. This is the result of high quality drivers with a well designed crossover using only high quality components.
Overall, it's hard to beat, especially at this price.
