I bought the Brooklyn dac for PCM only. I use it and will use it only with a drive CD (SPDIF IN) It sounds fantastic : the best dac at home for the last years. Totally agree with Totsipaki'comments . I had, Mytek DSD 192, Benchmark 2HGC, Violectric, Metrum Menuet and some other.... This Dac is a "Pure Merveille" whatever the data read.
Turnable can be hookup to this DAC - No phono stage pre is required http://www.computeraudiophile.com/f6-dac-digital-analog-conversi

We have done some extensive listening with some other LPS , It's the best value for money by performance.
REVIEW by an Audiophile in Singapore Just some updates of the brooklyn great layering , every instrument has its own compartment. separation is excellent, vocals do the blend with the other instruments(for most recordings, vocal take centre stage while instrument emerge independently from the back) decays are precise and well timed, able to differentiate clearly whether a recording is bad or good. one more point., even without the external power supply , the noise floor is already really quiet.
