Brimars are very sweet, lush sounding tubes. […] It should be noted that Brimars are also the quietest 6SN7. All in all, the CV1988 is a terrific tube. You turn to Brimars when you want a more euphonic sound. Strong bass, wide midrange and soundstage.

the
se kenrad black glass 1940's tube have great bass, drive, sweet midrange, good bandwidth. Bass is definitely it's strong suit. On the other hand, the highs are more grainy then other tubes.

Good high end extension, a warm and full midrange and decent bass extension. Imaging is precise and the perceived staging is wide. Non-fatiguing, smooth, with good detail resolution, bandwidth and speed.

this might be one of the finest 6sn7. very detail, good mid vocal. beat some of the highly rated 6sn7.

Quiet and musical, the best of the non-military tubes. most mellow and have the most refined sound. Very smooth and airy up and down with a nicely detailed high end
tubes are tested on tv-7 tube tester use by U.S army and airforce where minimum good for 6sn7 is 50/50. strong start around 85/85
