Apple has quite a good reputation for making devices that are light and designed well. Yet one complaint some people had regarding the original iPad was that it was bulky to carry around. The most important improvement, then, is that the iPad 2 is a lot more compact and a lot more thin than its predecessor. After all, iPads are made to be portable and people are supposed to like carrying them on planes, to the library, to the beach, etc. The iPad 2 weighs less than the original iPad by about 15% and while that seems like a tiny difference it is still important when you carry something around with you all day long. This means that, with the iPad 2, Apple has successfully created a lighter and more compact portable tablet device. The RAM in the iPad 2 is 512MB,ipad accessories, which is double that of the original model. Web browsing, then, is easier because the pages and images load faster. For most of the daily functions of your tablet you won't notice the difference in RAM but when you play games or use RAM heavy apps, the improvement is significant. Watching and editing videos, going through photos, etc will use up lots of memory so having twice as much as you did before is a major difference in the power of the device. If you already have an iPad this might be a good enough reason to upgrade but it can be a major selling point for people buying the
